    1. hahaha Thanks Elizabeth!! I wanted someone to run me around the house on their shoulders after I was done- I felt so flipping brilliant!! (Even though egg shell veneering wasn't even my idea!) I still keep staring at it and gushing about how awesome it is!

  5. I saw your post over on chic on a shoestring, and had to stop by to check out your blog, and tell you how awesome your bowl is. I saw an article in architectural digest about the guy who used the eggshell veneers, and I was thinking how cool it would be to try it. My husband thought it was a crazy idea, so it kind of got put on the back burner. I'm going to have to show him your bowl. I LOVE IT! You have a new follower!

    1. Thank you Lauren!! I read that same article in Architectural Digest- that's where I got the idea. And like yours, my husband thought it was crazy! He kept going "it's EGGSHELLS" and even now that he's admitted how good it looks, he's still skeptical about the material. But I keep telling him that's why I do the decorating- cause I have a better imagination. :) Thanks for your sweet comment!

  6. LOL, Isn't this coincidental...I just read a post the other day where someone used eggshells to decorate a box. Your bowl turned out lovely!

  7. I just read your guest post. Earlier, I thought it was a crackle finish or something. I never would have guessed they are eggshells! Great job, Brooke. Your perseverance and patience truly paid off.
